Cutie pa-tu-tee

I LOVE that Morgan says her own prayers now. I never know what she is going to say, but it usually involves being grateful for toys, and almost always grateful for Jesus, blessing the Christmas tree...etc.

Yesterday, Morgan and I were looking at my sister's Christmas card which has pictures of her 3 kids on it and I showed it to her and reminded her of their names. Later that night she was saying her bedtime prayer and it went something like this, "Heavenly father, grateful for today, grateful for Jesus, bless with good sleep, grateful for my cousins, bless Caitlyn, Lamb (Liam), Jesus Christ amen." You can't help but smile at moments like that.

Today Morgan and I were in the living room and she found the picture book that I had used for Family Home Evening the night before. She told me to sit down:

Morgan: "I wanna tell you somefin."
Me: "Oh, you are going to tell me a story."
Morgan: "Yeah!" (She turns to a page.) "I'm going to tell about fire." "Let's sing a song, ok?" Then she proceeds with singing a song about fire to the tune of I Am a Child of God.
She turns another page and starts telling me stories about what is going on. I see a picture of Abinadi and tell her his name. Then she starts singing a song about Abinadi to the tune of I Am a Child of God.

Both songs kind of went like this. "Fire/Abinadi, an earthly home with parents kind and dear.."

What a silly kid.

Haha, that is too cute! I love that all of her songs were to the tune of "I Am a Child of God." And her little prayer was adorable! Maddy is just starting to say them almost on her own.. and it usually involves whatever she's looking at at the moment.

Makayla is not that clever. She has her 4 line memorized prayer, which we always alter to make sure it includes blessing the food or our family, etc. That's cute that Morgan will include other people and things.
