First we visited the food Market that they had. It was huge and they had many things there, not just Asian food. We loved the lanterns and the fish the best. We ended up buying a few things that we knew we could eat and enjoy while in Washington the next month. As a treat we bought some strawberry mochi ice cream and it was pretty yummy.
After visiting the market we wanted to wander around and find this Chinese noodle place that got rave reviews. Walking up to it we noticed a funny smell and concluded it was just a sewer smell that is often found while visiting big cities. Unfortunately, after getting our noodles we quickly found out it was the noodles that had such a funny stench and most unpleasant flavor. I concluded that if fish had feet, smelly feet, that is what those noodles tasted like.
Finally after walking around some more we found out that sushi places we wanted to go to were closed and we ended up going to a Chinese restaurant. Most of the food was pretty good and we also ordered a noodle dish. Surprisingly, the noodles smelled and tasted just like the noodles we had just tried. Blech!
Despite the disappointing food we had a fun time walking around and spending time together as a family. There were many things to appreciate, even though we didn't like the food.
