When it was still warm outside Morgan and I would go outside so she could ride her trike and play with friends. One day I Morgan was riding her trike and I was sitting on the cement slab, or I guess you could call it a patio, that leads to our front door. While watching her I happened to glance to my side and from my peripheral vision I saw something moving across our doormat about a foot behind me. Very alarmed I stand up to see a snake! I would say it was about 1 1/2 to 2 feet long! So of course I freaked out, it was right behind me! Luckily our neighbors husband was home and they had their door open, so he lightly kicked the snake into dirt in front of our house.
There she is, she's the momma snake. I guess there are babies somewhere.
Morgan kept asking me, "Can I touch it?" and I would tell her no of course. She asked me again and I told her she could, she of course was too scared to touch it though! (She asks me that with bugs too, one time Mike killed a bug and had it in a paper towel she wanted to touch it. So, Mike said she could throw it in the garbage. So he handed her the paper towel with the bug inside and she was fine at first but then she couldn't find the garbage. She started freaking out and crying. It was pretty funny.)
(oh and before you start thinking we converted to Catholicism, that's not our Mary statue, it's our neighbor's statue. She also has a Jesus one and an angel one out there. And as of yesterday she has a beautiful arrangement of spring flowers planted in the flower bed, they're fake of course.) :)

Um, I would DIE if that happened to me. Great, I'm going to be paranoid when I go outside now. Glad your neighbor was home though... Scary!
